This depends on which end you want to open the hive from, and how many boxes you are lifting.
If you want to tilt a single super towards the 'front' of the hive (ie: where the bees' entrance is), then you'll need to take the weather guard off. It's possible to tilt a double box in this direction with the weather guard in place, as long as the double box stand is in the upper position.
If you are tilting the upper box(es) towards the 'back' end of your hive then the Flow Weather Guard can stay in place.
